How to click on specific date

Dear all

Date	Balance
01-01-2015	1000
15-01-2015	2000
25-1-2015

suppose i have 2 dates 01-01-2015 and 15-01-2015 when i click the date field of specific date it show me that date balance but my requirement is when i click on 25-01-2015  the balance is not present  it show me the balance of 01 and 15 date.

if(date<=date selected,balance)

Maybe like

=SUM({<Date = {"<=$(=max(Date))"}>} Balance)

or

=if(len(trim(Balance)), SUM({<Date = {"<=$(=max(Date))"}>} Balance), only(Balance) )
