Dear All,

I am having a challenge of presenting the data in a chart with more than one dimension, expression. Qlik is only showing only one dimension If I show in Bar Chart.

The data will be like this

Year Month Quantity Amount

2012 Jan 50 5000

2012 Feb 60 10000

2012 Mar 70 15000

2013 Jan 50 5000

2013 Feb 60 10000

2013 Mar 70 15000

2014 Jan 50 5000

2014 Feb 60 10000

2014 Mar 70 15000

In pivot table its possible. But I want this as a Bar Chart or an appropriate chart.

one option would be to build a deimension that is the month and year - not sure about the expression without further inforamtion

can you provide a qvw of what you have so far

Hi,

If you use two dimensions and expressions, the bar chart is formatted as a stacked chart. And since the Quantity is very less as compared to the Amount numbers, you are not able to see the two bars as shown in the attached qvw. The alternatives are to use two separate bar charts or split axes or merge the dimensions of year and date as suggested by Adam.

If your dimensions are Year and Month, then create drill down/cyclic group using these 2 dimensions.

Take Combo Chart, instead of Bar chart. Here you are showing 2 different measures, split the 2 axis..
