How to create a calendar to show only the Year and Month Name

Hi Guys,

Please may you help me with creating a calendar to display as per the attachment?

I have a date field of YYYYMMDD and when I create the year and month field from this, it still shows the full calendar with all days for each month but I want the user to select only the year month.

Why dont you create two list boxes having Year and Month respectively, by doing this user will have privilege to select any month(s) and Year(s).

Yeah we could do that but the problem is, we are replicating a system in Qlikview and we need the look and feel to be exactly the same as to avoid user navigation problems.
