We have data in table a that has a start and end date and data in table b that a created date only ,no range. What is the best way to create a Qlik dash for the user so they can enter dates and view results?
1. Have them enter the range of dates using a input box?
2. Create a calendar that has dates
3. Use Set Analysis with date ranges on metrics
4. All of the above
The issue here is that when I create master calendars - I can create a separate calendar on the range start table a and separate master calendar on the range end date table a - but that's not useful in this case..
I can create a separate calendar on the created date in table b
Any ideas on how to bring all this different kind of date driven information will be helpful
I can provide additional details as needed
Thanks in advance for your help!

I would think a solution would be to IntervalMatch the all dates into a master calendar. For example see:

Thanks a lot for the reply, now with the interval table I have a date which I can use in a master calendar a. Will I have to create a master calendar b for a different date on a different table.
Meaning will I create several different master tables?
Thanks again for your help and examples are great help
You can usually get by with a single calendar. For an example of uisng multiple calendars, see
