How to make use of Triggers in the following exmaple?

Hello All,

Below is my sample data. I have created a simple Bar chart with

Dimensions: DRILL group of Category, Sub-Category, Brand, Products

Expression: Sum(Price INR)

My Query:-

1. On the very first selection / click on any Bar of the Chart, nothing should happen; the bars must remain steady (like as if its Locked).

Vehicles:

2. On 2nd time selection / click on any Bar of the Chart, the Dimension must Drill down from Category to Sub-category and so on.

I have tried Triggers by using Lock All but then it doesn't allow me selection further is I use Select In Field.

What is the use case for the first step?

In general, I would try to avoid using triggers for something that is counter intuitive and not following the way QV usually works.

What are you trying to achieve by doing this?

It was asked in an interview; The Interviewer said it was his client requirement. This was one of his example of why Qlikview is being different from other BI tools like Tableau and Spotfire.
