How to read excel file into Qlikview from FTP server

Hi All,

I have requirement where in the execl file will be placed on the FTP server and i need to load that from FTP server location.

I have tried setting up the connection but every time i got "FTP-Connection failed error"..

Is there anything that needs to be taken care as a prerequisites? Can someone guide me?

Server name along with credentials..

You haven't mention if you can connect to the ftp server apart from Qlikview.

It could be that you need privileges to connect to the ftp server.

I am able to connect to  FTP server with server address and credentials.

but from Qlikview i am getting the above mentioned error.

Or a correct username and password. FTP servers hosting business-ciritical information usually do not allow anonymous access.

Also note that QlikView FTP does not support the sFTP protocol.
