How to run triggers to statements

Hi all,

I've created a alternate state in order to control some layout data. the alternate state include several objects.

Now, I need to enter to the sheet with some selections and usually I use the sheet triggers.

When I trying to select one of the objects under the state, the Qlikview ignore that (because the field object is under the state reason).

How can I select when enter the sheet some parameters (like "Year = 2012") if (Year) is under the state?
