How to set limit values to some variables?

I all,
I'm new here on QlikView and due to that I'm facing some problems and therefore I hope you can help me.
The thing is: I'm adding some fields to my Qlikview sheet and I want to define for each field a certain upper limit.
How can I do that?

Under Settings-Document Properties-Variables - you can define input constraints;
