How to upload user input to Qvd with certain other constraints ?

Hi All ,

I want to update two user Input in Qvd .

But with following constrains ..

1) Data should be uploaded only when both input values are filled .

2) Date field should take system time stamp

3) After successful updated it should be reflected in table

4) After successful update it should trigger a mail as well . (shekhar.analytics@gamil.com)

You might have to use a macro to do this, but know this that QlikView isn't the right tool for write back functionality. I have never done this before so will be difficult for me to comment on this any more

Sunny is right.  Qlik is not a Write-back tool.  However, there are options for this functionality.  There are 3rd party products that do a wonderful job of this, like KliqPlan.  I know of a few organizations that use this tool for data entry, when they are doing some planning and forecasting.  IF a third party tool isn't in the budget, there are ways to get Qlik to write out data to SQL, but it isn't real simple. Personally, I would look for a third party tool or maybe an extension on Qlik Branch.
