i have created a pivot table, now they want same pivot data to in line chart format, i have tried converting it to line chart but the chart is not as expected can any one help, OR is there any way that i can use the pivot talbe to create the chart, any help will be appricated
Any help
Your best bet is to copy the Pivot table so that you don’t lose your data andturn the new Pivot table into a Combo Chart. I would then remove some of thedata and you may have to tweak the display options in the Expressions tab.
I hope this helps, regards
Maria
hi,
It's always diffcult to conver data a pivot to chart as it is, as the data in pivot are huge this data in charts will not be as readable as it is pivot.
In such cases you can use two dimesnions and both as cyclic group .
I have attach a sample application.

hi Maria,
I tried doing that bt still i am not getting the desire resulta, the expression which i want on X-axis is dipplayed as legends the chart is in reverse and i tried altering it but still the same
Deepak's solution works well, but you still have far too much data for onechart and your series have large variances ranging from hundreds to just shortof a million. This amount of data would illegible on any chart.
I would create three or four charts putting different series of data in each.
I am using PE version of QV so not able to open Deepak's sample, it would be great if you can reply me wht are u doing or send it in notepad
Hi Deepak,
I am not able to open ur sample file, can you tell a brief about it
Hi
Can u share sample QV data.
Also, from that, what inferences you want to draw.
I will send methodology to create chart from it.
Hi Maria,
It actually depends on the requirement and in certain cases we have to convince the user that you can view the report in this way.
Hi Mohammed,
I have created two cyclic object. In first cycle I have added the 1 and 2 dimension. And in the second I have added
2and 3 dimension and hence you can have different view of your same data in charts
