Importing from a Apple Mac Microsoft Excel file: all the date's are out by a couple of years!

I'm just using Qlik for the first time while evaluating it as a BI frontend to SAP Business One.

I've downloaded the free version and I'm trying to use it with an Excel file that I use for pivoting. The file is from a Mac.

When I import the file the dates all seem to be wrong by approximately 2 years. Is this a Mac issue?

I've worked out that I'm being bitten by the fact that Excel on the Mac uses day 1 in 1904 and on the PC it's 1900. I've made a work around by changing the settings on the sheet.
