Installation problem

I downloaded the trial version for Windows Vista.

As I go through the installation, it pops up a mssg: FATAL ERROR> Installation ended prematurely because of an error.

Can someone pls help me. I need to install the demo version.

Even i too got the same problem which you mentioned. I have tried installing more than 3 to 4 times but couldn't install it. It would be better if Qlik Tech check this problem and release a new working version.

Hi,

That is correct, this is not a problem with the product but with security in Vista.

Try the following:

1. Disable UAC in Windows vista. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-window...
2. As an Administrator, right click on the .exe and pick "run as administrator".

See if that works.
