Integration of QVW files into client application???

Hi All,

How to integrate the QVW files into clients application?

Please give me step by step procedure.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Mahasweta,

I think by 'integrate the QVW files into clients application' you mean building some (VB / C++ / C# / ...) application, and embedding a QVW into this application?

Haven't got it working yet, but you can find the documentation by clicking on the 'Download' link on the top of your QlikCommunity page, selecting the 'QlikOCX' option in the second column, and downloading the QlikOCX manual from the links you'll see at the bottom of that page. (PS: this is the same page as where you can download the QlikView Desktop / Server / ... installers.)

I don't know if you'll need a separate license for the QlikOCX component, or if this component will use your QlikView Desktop license.

Would like to hear from you if you got it working; in my case running an example application crashes Visual Studio 2008.

Thanks a ton for the reply.

Here we have the application already ,no need to build the application page, as we need to just integrate our QV reports into our client's existing application.

please guide me how to integrate the same.

hi all:

we are working in the same thing one month ago and we try to use Qlik OCX to do our integration but it doesn't work, well it work but it was unstable, so we ask support and told us to use QlikWeb Workbench (http://qlikwebworkbench.com/Support/Default.aspx) where you can find a lot of information to how to do integrations in QV. Our is now working perfectly.

Sorry, can't help you with that. As I mentioned, in my case Visual Studio crashes, so I didn't get it to work myself.

PS: I'm assuming you're trying to embed QlikView in some desktop application? If you're trying to embed it into a web application, take a look at Enrique's reply about QlikView Workbench.

this worked for me.

if you wish to embed the entire qvw file in a web page simply add code like the following:

<iframe src="http://localhost/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=Films.qvw&ticket=&host=localhost" width="100%" height="100%" frameborder="0"></iframe>

just rename localhost for the servername and change the name of the document.
