Hi:
Is it possible to make a waterfall chart in qlikview interactive?
For example, it can be drilled down by clicking the bars and the waterfall chart updated with a new waterfall chart.
Thank you very much for your time.
Paco
can you post an example of how this should look like?
thanks

Marco
Hi Baikang,
Maybe with a bar displacement expression like rangesum(Above(column(1),1, rowno()))
Regards.
Hi Marco:
I am afraid that I cannot provide an example qvw file.
But I found most of the waterfall tutorial online don't use dimension and use multiple expressions and set analysis for different bars. They are still basically the same expression with different value in set analysis.
I think the advantage of this approach is that the bar offset can be defined individually and make a normal bar chart looks like a waterfall chart.
But the down side is that there is no dimensions which means the water fall cannot be drilled down. What I mean by that is you cannot use group dimensions and you cannot use the chart for selection. When you click on the chart, nothing will happen which is not the same as a normal chart.
Hope this would help you understand my question.
Thank you very much for your time.
Best regards,
PC
