Internet Explorer Plugin issues

<div mcetmp="1">Hi all,</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">I would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on an issue with the QlikView plugin.</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">We are currently running QlikView Server  10.0.8935.7, which is hosted in London and a number of Business Units connect from around the world from South Africa to the States. We are not on a fully trusted global WAN but all BU's can connect to QlikView and at least open the Ajax version without any issues.</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">However, there are number of issues when users attempt to use the IE plugin version, depending on not just the location, but the BU's within the location and peculiarly even some individuals in the same office space, even next to each other, experience different behaviour. The vast majority of users connect without issues but unfortunately the ones that shout loudest are having the issue!</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">We have had to adopt two different links to QlikView in even though they point to exactly the same QlikView document in the same place:</div><div mcetmp="1">

In the instances where the link fails, the user gets to the site via either link the QV logo appears but they get a message saying "QVP://x.qvw cannot be opened".</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">To add to the strangeness, some users were unable to connect until we put a holding page to QlikView with a 2 second delay - otherwise they would also be getting the qvw cannot be opened error. So now we force all users through the holding page...</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">The issues appear to occur on a number of different browser versions (IE 6(they just won't get upgrade),7 and 9). We have checked the users' Active X settings (thanks Valentin!!), uninstalled/reinstalled the plugin, firewalls, traffic etc, but to no avail  Traffic seems ok back and forth so no visisble drops.</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated!!!</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">Thanks all,</div><div mcetmp="1"> </div><div mcetmp="1">Dan
