Is it possible to open file created in QV9 in version 8.01?

Hi All,

Is it possible to open file created in desktop QV9 in enterprise version 8.01 ?

i think it is not possible to open document in the 8.01 developed on 9.0..

Hi,

it is possible to open a qv9 file in qv7. So I expect that it will also possible to open it in qv8.

QlikView has been using the same file format since version 6, so it should be fine opening files developed in 9, however some features will not be supported by older versions, which will result in objects not appearing or looking a bit different.

Thanks all for the input.

According to QlikTech, we should be able to do it. However, I couldn't open the QV9 file I created in QV 8.01. I can open in QV8.5 though.

I didn't use any new QV9 functionality in that file. So I was wondering if there is a proper way to convert?

I manage to open in qv8.5 - save as QV 6-8 file type, yet I'm still unable to open the file.

Any idea is very appreciated.
