Hi Gurus,
I know I ask some may simple questions but I am very new to this field. And if I don't know something then I have to ask, ...right?
And I am so blessed with this nice Qlikview Community and so many nice people answer the questions.
Now here is my simple question.
Is possible to have different queries for different tabs in one qvw?
Yes/NO/May be?
If Yes/ May be, then how?
Thanks,
TA
Hi
Do you asking in script? If so, please check the attached file. if no,can u say in detail?
Ramasamy,
Thanks for your sample file. But I am not sure if I could understand it correctly.
What I want is:
I have following tables:
USER
PV Identified Last Week
PV Identified Last 4 Weeks
PV Identified Last 52 Weeks
PV Anonymous Last Week
PV Anonymous Last 4 Weeks
PV Anonymous Last 52 Weeks
HPW Identified Last Week
HPW Identified Last 4 Weeks
HPW Identified Last 52 Weeks
HPW Anonymous Last Week
HPW Anonymous Last 4 Weeks
HPW Anonymous Last 52 Weeks
UC Last Week
UC Last 4 Weeks
UC Last 52 Weeks
Now here is my requirement:
I want to create only one qvw with various tabs of course.
In one Tab I just want a report which will be based on
USER
UC Last Week
UC Last 4 Weeks
UC Last 52 Weeks
and in the next tab report will be based on
USER
HPW Anonymous Last Week
HPW Anonymous Last 4 Weeks
HPW Anonymous Last 52 Weeks
PV Anonymous Last Week
PV Anonymous Last 4 Weeks
PV Anonymous Last 52 Weeks
and yet n another tab report will be based on
HPW Identified Last Week
HPW Identified Last 4 Weeks
HPW Identified Last 52 Weeks
USER
PV Identified Last Week
PV Identified Last 4 Weeks
PV Identified Last 52 Weeks
There is "AU ID" is a key across all the tables. Currently the tables are joined by default and working with one query. But If I force Inner join for them then some of the records disappear. (I am not sure if they should or I am doing something wrong here). I was thinking to create seprate queries for all three types of reports with inner join in one qvw and then use relevant query for report. It means all three reports will be independant from each other and any filter on one will not affect on other sheet/report. I hope I am clear, if not pelase let me know.
Thanks,
TA
If you are using QV11, you can use alternate states to keep selections / objects in sheets independent from selections /objects in other sheets.
