Issue in getting the total of a column

Hello everyone,

I need help in an issue ,the issue is like i have a report in which i have to get the summation of a column which i am using in other column.I have a column in which i have calculated some value and then show the summation at the top of the column now i want to use this summation in other column as i have to divide each row of that column with this summation.

Please reply it is very urgent.

Hi can you post sample here so we can help you. sample qvw would help (qlikview application that contains a sample of your problem).

Hi,

u can use " Total" keyword in side the sum then we will get summation of that perticular entire column summation.

=sum(Total fieldname).

This expression u can use in second column, means where u want to do division.

No values are not coming when i am typing in this way ,here we are using qlikview 9

What ashok said is correct (you will need to use total function). But his sample is for basic sum only since you didn't give any sample yourself.

This what i am looking for but it is qlikview 9 so are u sure that we have this function in this.
