Hello!
We have an issue where no matter how much we set out document and server timeouts our users are disconnected automatically after 60 min of inactivity
Our goal is to allow 180 min of inactivity before being kicked out. We have only 20 users and one document. Our server has memory of 16 GB which runs about 60-75 on normal days. We only load data during the night and there are no user creation/sharing of reports.
We have changed our values for session mgmt both on the document and the server plus the IIS.
We have speculated that the issue could be that somehow the users are kicked out because the memory is running low but we cannot see that it is ever close to a 100%. Could this be a source anybody thinks?
Any clues on this or similar issues are of great help,
Thank you,
Erik
Hello Eric,
Can i ask why you need to have an inactive session for over 60mins?
If you need this for a presentation screen or an unattended display its possible to change the application and add code that will keep the session alive if needed.
Hi and thanks!
Some of our users work with "semi-complex" reporting but also have to manage clients. Thus it could happen you get "disconnected" from your QV work with other unplanned activities and the hassle of having to re-create your selections is cumbersome (and no they are not possible to save as bookmarks). That's the simple answer.
Our goal is to be able to manage this from a central POV and not having to add code, but if this is the only way, maybe that's what we have to do.
BR,
Erik
Hello Erik,
Have you tried using both browser types Ajax and IEplugin, maybe one will work better for you.
Alternatively you could contact Qlik support and see if they are able to help.
