Hi all,
I have materials prices data, for eg,
| Material | Date | Price per unit |
|---|---|---|
| A | 1-jan-12 | 100 |
| B | 1-Jan-12 | 50 |
| A | 1-aug-12 | 110 |
| B | 1-jan-13 | 48 |
I want to show for Mat A trend line straight from Jan 12 to July 12 and then hike in Aug 12. SAme for matrail B. I am keeping date as dimension.
How to get it done? How to reload other months in the dimension when they are not there in the data and how to show same price as last month when it is not there in the data?
You'll need to add the missing months. See here for how to do that. It is possible to use a continous axis for the Date field so intermediate missing dates are shown, but that won't help showing a line for A beyond 1-aug-12 because that's where the data ends for A.
Hi,
Try to load All months as Inline data and add that as a dimension and draw a line chart .
I hope it helps you
"but that won't help showing a line for A beyond 1-aug-12" may be Henric has answered your concern here (See last comment
"Yes, just change the definition of vMaxDate:
Let vMaxDate = Num(Today()) ;
HIC"
. I will try it at weekend.
