Line chart doesn't work as expected !!!

What is expected?: If user lasso on certain data points, chart has to filter data for the lasso rectangle area. But instead data was filtered for only second dimension. Where as this is working on the Combo Chart. We have several line charts across in all our projects, where this is a must needed feature for all our clients.

Attached has the application.

step 1: lasso on First chart (line). Data is filtering the second dimension in the chart. Not the combination of 2 dimensions.

Step2: Do same for the combo chart. Data will be filtered for combination of 2 dimensions.

Any one has the simliar issue?

This is done by QlikTech by purpose.  Used to be different many years ago, probbaly before QV5.

Workaround - use combo chart with all expressions as lines.

Thanks Michael, i thought the same too.. But one of our user claims that this wasn't the situation in past...Jsut want to see if that is that case.

I have opend up a ticket with Qliktech..Let's see what they will say...

It will be a big pain to change all the line charts to combo....But will see

The user has good memory - it worked this way maybe ten years ago. 
Although, if you select one line, the next lasso will select the 2nd dimension.  Maybe this is what the user noticed.
