Line charts - reducing gaps at either side of data
I'd like if possible to reduce the gaps on the attached chart at either end of the line (ie gap from the axis)...have tried playing with fonts & formats but can't seem to work out what is causing it...thanks
I'm stuck on the old Excel, so I can't read the file. Have you tried holding Ctrl+Shift to edit the layout of the chart elements. You should see red bars around each element, which can be moved or resized. You should be able to decrease the white space using that.
As you make the chart wider and narrower, the gaps typically jump around some. I often choose a width just because it happens to put narrow gaps on each side. I think the gaps may have something to do with the font size and how many values it can put on the axis and that sort of thing, but I'm not certain.
