Line object

I frequently use line_objects like a ruler to line up my objects - the grid_view does the same job, but then the lines are not exactly where I need them, so I'd rather have my own.

<=> My problem with those is that they are quite broad - left and right of a vertical line, the object goes on, making it quite hard to leave the line in place and then move the object_to_be_aligned.

=> Can I somehow make the line_objects slimmer?

Hi.

You can choose bottom layer for the line_objects and uncheck 'Allow Move/Size' on Layout Tab.

This keep the line_objects locked so you can easily adjust the object_to_be_aligned.

You could always just stretch out a text object instead of using a line object that way you don't need to deal with the excess space around the line objects.
