Linear Gauge (Straight Table) - how to add TEXT IN CHART?

Does anyone know how to add text to a linear gauge within a straight table? See below. I would like to be able to visualize relative customer sizes while also showing the exact number (%), only I want it all combined into ONE COLUMN (save space). I have tried the "Text in Chart" feature but cannot get it to work.

THANKS!!

How about another expression, next to the Gauge, that would show the number? You could play with the borders if you really want them to be so close...

Thanks - actually I'm already displaying the numbers via expression in the first example ("share"). This is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do but still illustrates the problem. Just trying to make the software do what it's offering - if it can't perhaps the menus should change.

I am also having this issue. That is, I want to use the "Text in Chart" functionality for a Linear Gauge. When I enter the text (either using an Expression, or "hard coded" text), it does not work.

It appears that this functionality should be possible, but does not seem to work.

Has anyone else faced this issue and resolved it?

FYI, we are using QlikView 9.00.7469.8 SR4 64-bit edition.

It looks bugged, at least in version 9 SR6. I can add text to chart, and it acts like it's taking it, but when I go back into the properties, what I added has disappeared. Is that what you're seeing?

Still, even if it were fixed, I'm not sure you'd get what you want. It would merely add text, and probably wouldn't be sensitive to your dimension values any more than text in chart is sensitive to dimension values in a regular bar chart. I'm guessing you wanted to get numbers for each dimension in your chart like the original poster?

I have charts just like the original poster, and I used and prefer the "what I have" version of those charts, with the numbers as a separate column. I assume that's not practical in your case.

Hi Thanks for your reply. Yes, this is exactly what I am seeing. I am able to add the text (or in my case, I am using an expression) and it appears to take it all OK. However, when I go back into the screen, my text has disappeared. That is, it does not appear to be saving my text definition.

It is also not showing on my chart object (Linear Gauge).

Yes, I am able to add the value as a separate column (same as teh "what I have" version), but for the sake of real estate, I am trying to add them into the same cell as the Linear Gauge.
