Listbox, search not working when using expression

Dear all

In a List box, I have
selected <Expression> as Field, in the form:

if([Type_stat]='X', )

This, however, seems to
somehow deactivate the Search function. When trying to make a search, only
empty fields are shown.

Any solution to that?
