I downloaded and installed QlikView personal edition since I recently started using it at work. Using my personal edition I created a simple qvw to download stock prices. I then ran the file from VBA using 'Shell (..QV.exe /r ...filename.qvw). The shell worked fine the first time. I then attempted to run it again, but QlikView returned an error saying the file was created by a licensed user and therefore I could not open it with personal edition. I tried to open the qvw directly, but I got the same error ...created by a licensed user...
I then deleted the qvw file and created a new qvw file from scratch in my personal edition and saved it with the same file name as the original qvw. I did NOT rerun the shell script. I tried to reopen the new qvw, but still got the error. This doesn't make sense to me unless QlikView is tracking licensed files by file name.
Can anyone help? I just got started and this if very disheartening to get stuck so quickly.
Thanks,
Corey

Thank you. This helped. The -prj folder was the problem. I deleted it
the -prj folder and then I was able to use the file name again.
