Many thanks for the best answer

Hi Qlik Experts,

I have some scenario based questions and I would like to post your best answers for the same.

Appreciate for taking time to read and answer and excuse me for such long questions.

The questions are as follows:

1) The Chief Financial Officer of your company has asked you to create a dashboard that he will use for a presentation. You have been given one set of data for 1,251 locations with the sales goals arranged by products and another set of data with sales results for the same locations which is organized by regional managers and their respective teams. What are some of the criteria to consider when building the design features of the dashboard? How would you select which charts to present? Please describe in detail some of the ways you would customize your dashboard with the end user (The CFO) in mind.

2) You work for Stocks; a major grocery store chain. Stocks wants to design a QlikView application to reduce inventory shrinkage (food that spoils). The company utilizes several ratios as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Average Days to sell inventory: how long it takes a company to buy or create inventory and turn it into a sale

- Inventory Write off: inventory that no longer has any value in the business

- Average Inventory: to show how fast inventory is selling, and the average volume kept on hand

- Inventory Turnover: the number of times inventory is sold and replaced in a certain time period

- Holding Costs: costs incurred in storing and maintaining inventory

The data is available in QVD format. Store managers will use this data on a weekly basis to order inventory. What are the first steps that you take to prepare, load and analyze the data? What considerations would you use to determine those steps? How will you make the data accessible to managers across 956 store locations nationwide? Describe some of the ways in which you would re-designing existing data models & architecture to enhance performance.

3) Data from a customer satisfaction survey comes in from 4,404 store locations each month. This data has to be shared with the Customer Service department and integrated with salesforce in order for it to be useable for them. Describe some of the methods for code review and why it is necessary, also explain how you would use feedback from the users to improve the performance of the tool.

Best Regards

Sharan
