Hello!
Can someone tells me what's wrong with my Qlikview set up? I can't find the search strings in my command button properties and the border style in the layout tab. I have already encountered this problem before and I just changed the default styling mode to advanced and it worked but this one doesn't work.
Tks.
Based on your screenshots, you're using a Select Excluded action trigger, this doesn't have a "search string" parameter.
Try adding for example a "Select in field" action, you should get then the "search string".
As to your missing options in the layout, make sure you're selecting the styling mode "advanced" from Settings > Document Properties > General => Styling Mode.
This setting will override the same one that exists under Settings > User Preferences > Design => Default Styling Mode.
Hope this helps.
Changing the styling mode: advanced
will enable the border style in the layout tab
For Select exclude there will be no search string

Thank You so much,jp...It worked...I thought style mode in document properties would automatically update if you change ther user preference. For the command button, I now used the "Select in Field " instead of the "Select Excluded".
