My apps have disapeared

I must be doing something really wrong or missed a valuable step.

Yesterday I created my first QlikView in PE.  I had multiple data sources loaded, multiple apps on multiple sheets.

Today when I went to show the work to someone, my sheet was blank and when I tried to reload the script, I got errors stating "field not found".

I know I saved my file.  Does anyone know what's going on?  What did I miss?

Thank you!

Did you open the qvw without data and save it by any chance?

I have no idea.  I did not know that there was a variety of ways to open the qvw.

Can you please tell me how to properly save and then correctly open my qvw's.

Gosh, that was a bunch of work gone.  Now I'll know better.

Hi chwester,

This happens when the file is not saved.

try the keys  ctrl + E ,if you want to look at the script you wrote.

Thnx

Thanks.  I can see the script but and it's the same as yesterday but still won't load.

So, how do I save a file if not by choosing 'save"?  Again, I must have missed something very basic when it comes to opening, saving, and closing qvw's.  If anyone can point me to a resource that is that basic, I would appreciate it.

For saving its ctrl+s...for reloading its ctrl+R...its always a good practice to save at regular intervals.

If you can upload your sample qvw, along with sample data .We could take a look at it.

Thx
