Need help in troubling shooting data from a QVD file

Hi

I am brand new to Qlickview, trying to load data from a QVD on to a dashboard, but the data is not showing up on the dashboard. How do we debug to find the root cause or check if the QVD has all the required data.

Thank you

Hari

open the Script editor and then click on any filed of your qvd that you have loaded. after that press Ctrl+E. This will open a preview box which will show you that you qvd that you have loaded contains data or not. If it is blank all thae way then it is possible that the QVD you have loaded does not contain any data.

secondly open the Table viewer in your qlikview desktop on top in design bar,

or press control + T to open table viewer, and the right click on table and click preview, to see if the table has data or is it empty, or is there any table in your table viewer...

I would suggest downloading one of the free QVD viewers like Q-Eye.  It can be very handy to review what is in the QVD and even build the initial load script for you.
