Needing average of expression total

I an new to Qlikview and I currently have an expression that is derived by the following:

Variance Amt] / [Ext Price Paid]

where Variance Amt  and Ext Price Paid are also expressions.  I had in the Total Mode, sum of all rows selected, but what I really need is the average savings of the rows selected and not the total.    See the two screen shots.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you try to change the Total Mode to "Average"?

Thank you..  I didn't even notice the drop down.

Obviously a good training course would be ideal!!!
