New to Qlik and need help(Quickbooks Advanced Reporting)

I'm trying to create a report that shows all my customers balances and their last date of payment. I have figured out how to create that report but I want to make it adjust to an "as of" date much like you would do with a balance sheet report. When I run it now it gives me all the data up to current, but I just want it up to a specific date so that it doesn't include the data from this quarter, but I can have all the data up through the first quarter of this year. Can someone tell me how to get this? I'm very new to this so you might have to explain it to me very simply to help me. Thanks in advance!!
