New to qlikview and need your suggestion.

Hello All,

My company is planning to implement Qlikview for reporting and dashboard purpose. SAP business Objects is our current reporting suite, on average 420 unique users access and run BO reports (weekly). On average each report runs 6 - 8 minutes one reason it takes to refresh 6 - 8 minutes is our data model which is not a star schema. We have monthly summary tables containing millions of rows which are indexed and partitioned. But if we want to do some analysis over a period of 12 months the query will take too long to get back the result set.

Now coming to Qlikview everyone says that its very fast because it uses in-memory computing. Could some one please tell me without having a star schema model at first place Qlikview would be fast enough?

Could someone please tell me how Qlikview works.

Any inputs would be very helpful.

Thank you.

Santhosh.
