One to many relationship

I am very new to Qlik. I am currently creating my first application.

I have two tables (CSV format)

[Historical Figures]

     Name,

     Birth Date,

     Death Date

[Year]

     Year ID,

     Year

I have 4 list boxes made. Name, Birth date, Death Date, and Year.

I am having trouble connecting these tables. I am able to connect Year to either Birth Date or Death Date, but not both.

ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Something along these lines:

[Historical Figures]

     Name,

     Birth Date,

     Death Date,

     Year([Birth Date]) as [Birth Year]

     Year([Death Date]) as [Death Year]

[Year]

     Year ID,

     Year

IntervalMatch:

IntervalMatch(Year)

LOAD [Birth Year],

          [Death Year]

Resident [Historical Figures];
