I have one pdf document on my local system i want requirement that, in my QV application i have to give one text or button on clicking it should open that pdf. I have tried using launch but it's working locally but on access point it's giving me an error.What to do please suggest.
Hi, You'll need to place your pdf in a shared folder, so both, server and user computer, recognizes using the same path.
Sorry but I don't know how to explain more, that's a operating system configuration, if you know who controls that on your company, ask for the creation of a shared folder to put the pdf and ask him/her what is the path to access that resource.
That path should have a format like "\\SharedServer\SharedFolder\Document.pdf", this is what you need to set on the launch action.
I have given the path in same way as you specify and it's working fine on my local machine but not on access point it is showing me an error like,can not find Path_name and path name or internet address is not correct
Hi Vijeta, sorry but I don't know what to say, I have this on some documents, from Qv desktop it opens the pdf on the application set to open the pdf documents. When I open it from access point it opens the pdf in the web browser.
If I do that outside QV, opening a new tab in the web explorer and I set the path in the url text box, it opens the pdf. You can try this, check if you can open the pdf using web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome...).
