Hi All,
Is anyone able to advise me how write a script to open a exel file and save the exel file please?
Thank you very much!!
Allow system access in the Edit Module
Create a Button and Add an action to it to Launch the excel file
Action-Add Action- External-Launch
Click ok
Then add the file name
Thanks very much Allan.
How do I write a script for this please? I am planned to have this script before my Load statement..
Thanks very much!

I don't have a script, but check this post
http://community.qlik.com/message/192704#192704
it may help
That script does not work.
So I will stick to your advice.
I need one last action with the Button. Add a new worksheet in the exel and save the exel.
Any advise please?

You cant use button to do that.
You need to add Macros like the previous post I gave.
To add a Macro, press CTRL M which will bring you to the Edit Module where you can add the Macro
You then call that macro from an action on a button
here is a link to a video on how to create a simple macro
Thanks Alan.
I am getting error below when test the macro ..
Any suggestion what is the issue please?
