Ordering by dimension1 into dimension2

Hi

I have a pivot table whith two row dimensions. Let assume that dimension1 is included in dimension2 so all dimension1 values appear once for each value of dimension2.

If I order dimension1 by one of the expresions it does not appears correctly ordered, only if I remove dimension2 the list is correctly oredered, but I need to order the dimension1 values into each dimension2 values.

What additional command I need?

Thanks

Using the same order in both dimensions? Could you specify wich is that order??

Like in the excel attached, TTOO is a dimension1 and HOTEL_ABREVIA is dimension2 I want the 'Prod.' of each TTOO from the bigger to the smaller for each value of HOTEL_ABREVIA. No matter if HOTEL_ABREVIA is ordered alfabetically or by total 'Prod.' the important thing is the order into each HOTEL_ABREVIA value.

I thought I already did that for you. See attached qvw. It's sorted by ascending text on Hotel_abrevia and then on Prod by descending numeric value. See the Sort tab of the properties screen.

Your attached was usefull to learn the use of 'Total<>' but your object is a simple table and I am working a pivot table, it orders correctly when I have only one dimension in rows but I need to have several dimensions.

If you don´t need to order Dimension 1 in alphabetic order, use Value Y descending in Dimension1 order

I don't need to order TTOO alphabetically just by the expresion 'Prod', is easy to get so without its dimension 'mother' HOTEL_ABREVIA as a row dimension.

Thanks you all any way

Sorry I did not understand your point but, with the exemple attached, now is clair, it works.

Now I will have to investigate how not to loose the order by TTOO, after adding a dimension YEAR in columns (2010,2011,2012,TOTAL), if you know how to get so...

Thank you

You're welcome, I should try a little more, for each dimension, more complex...
