Page file usage exceeds the limit set up in windows

Hi,

I have set the 256 MB as 'Total Paging size in Windows 2003 server. When I run a memory intensive Qlikview document, the PF usage is increasing beyond 256 MB (uses almost 4 GB Page file). I am not sure how the Page file usage is more than the limit. Is this possible? please throw some light on the page file limit and the usage.

Hi,

In Windows Task Manager, the PF shows the total used virtual memory = in physical memory + in pagefle. Yes, it is missleading

How can I find the actual Page File used?

It is not so simple, look it up in Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commit_charge

The point is to measure virtual memory per (QlikView) process, and eventually kill it when using too much .
