Personal Edition not allowing me to open documents I created

Has anyone been able to determine how to full remove QV from a machine, and then reinstall as brand new?  I just downloaded V10 but for some reason it thinks I have multiple instances and QV is not allowing me to open a document I created 3 minutes ago.

HI,

All you have to do is uninstall the qlikview. Then go to your registry setting and delete all reg. related to qlikview

    Hope this will help you.

I have the same problem

I downloaded version 9 some time back but never had time to learn how to use it

I then removed version 9 and downloaded version 10. But now I have a problem where I can not open files that I have created. Should I just open one and say yes to the question asked

Or is there something else that I shoudl do.

Thanks

Hi,

I think you should try with yes option once.

But as far as i know it will not display the data. You will need to reload the document. And for successful reload you need to have the data also.

I tried the option opening and then reload and save.  That is fine for that one document. But if you then create another, you will need to go through the same steps and then your 2 attempts will be all used up.

I tried this method once. It will open the document and repopulate after reload, but the same problem persists with any new QVD created. Once closed, it believes that the QVD I just created was created by a different user and must again be ‘recovered’.
