I have a pivot table that has 7 dimensions. When I have the first 3 dimensions fully expanded I get the scroll bar on the right. If I only want to expand a certain value of the next dimension I hit the + symbol to expand it. However the pivot table decides to scroll back to the top when this is done.
Is there a way to get around this? If there is a very large pivot table, it can take time to find the value you want to only have it reset the scroll bar when you want to expand it.
It really seems that it is related to the fact that it is inside a container. If it is outside the container, the scrolls are preserved perfectly.
I think you should get in touch with QlikTech support to check if it is a bug...
Some objects, including the Pivot Table, have the "Preserve Scroll Bar Position" option in "Chart Properties > Layout > Scrollbars". This should solve your problem...
Hope this helps you

I tried this, and it does not seem to change how it acts at all.
Sorry, I had a wrong information. The 'Preserve Scroll Bar Position' is used to preserve the position when the user makes a selection. The scroll bar positioning should persist when expading or collapsing dimensions, even when this option is unchecked.
Which QV version r u using? I tried on QV10SR3 and it works. Can u send a sample qvw?
Hi,
For this i suggested you to go to chart
Properties -> Options -> Size to Data -> Check Mark this option and Apply
And let me know if not works.

Anand,
This does not seem to work either, could it have something to do with the pivot table being in a container?
Fernando,
I am currently using Personal Edition, version 10, SR2.
Attached is the sample with scrambling, everything is not working due to some formulas requiring certain field names to function.
Edit:
Just updated to Personal Edition 10 SR3 and the issue is still present

Yep, you are right. Cloning the chart so it is outside the container preserves the scroll bar when expanding.
Since I am still currently under personal edition, I will have to wait to talk to support until we get actual license's.
