Printing Header caption

Hi all,

Do anyone know how to print Header caption while exporting a pivot or table from qlikview.

Thanks in advance

Go to General tab on the object (table, pivot table, etc.) settings and press "Print Settings" button. Under tab Header/Footer you can specify what you want to print.

Here you can also specify standard variables, for example &[Title] in "Center Section" to print table title as header of the page.

Try pressing "Default" button on this window and you will see what I am talking about. Hope this is what you are looking for.

For exporting, the caption control is provided in Settings, User Preferences, Export.

I have this setting but when users try to copy image accessing the QVserver using I.E plugin the caption is not exported.

You can take a look here, it could be similar to what you want:

I'm having a similar problem, the solution works if I print the chart directly but I want to use it in a report and tthen the title doesn't show, any ideas?

Hi,

For Report's you will need to use Label's . there is no other option. Put it just above the chart so it will appear as of a chart. From a personnel experience it is painful to use the report's. I rather prefer using excel exporting & formating using a macro. But macro's also fail's sometimes (even on a high end machine) but if u r using a 64 bit machine then the possibilities are less.

With regards

hello - i just came across this post as i am having the same problem in IE plugin.  the solution is for the user to select from the qlikview tool bar in the browser - Menu--User Preferences--Export.  then check the boxes for all object types.  this solution was suggested by others in this thread, but changing it via the desktop client does not help the IE client.  hope this helps someone-
