Hello,

when you install the server, there are two possibilities.

Install server on IIS or with the QlikView Server, in both cases after installation you have available the Management Console, through which you can set the license and check what folder for documents you need to use.

And it is in this folder you have to copy your qvw

The access point is already present, do not have to create anything, you just have to set the license and access permissions right.

What kind of server purchased your customer?

The Access Point is available in QlikView Server....

QV Publisher allows for creating 'tasks' to reload qv documents.
Tasks can be triggered by schedules, the success of other tasks, or
external events. Without the license for Publisher, you can only
schedule reloads based on a date/time. Other types of Tasks can also
be created - Distribution, Loop and Reduce, or External Tasks. For
example, with Publisher, you can schedule reload of a document, then
when it's completed, it can loop thru the values of a field (i.e.
'Region'), and save a reduced QV document for each value of the field
Region. Thus creating separate qvw's for each 'Region'. These
documents can then be 'Distributed' to a folder, and certain security
applied (allow only certain windows groups to read the qvw on the
accesspoint).

Publisher is designed for more complex tasks, likely required in a larger organization.

QlikView Server/Publisher/Access Point

QlikView server hosts QlikView apps centrally and allows user to access the documents via a web site (Access Point).

The server also controls the licences centrally, and user access to the documents.

QlikView server can automate the reloading of data into documents.

Publisher, provides further options for the reload and distribution tasks, as well  as the security of applications on a QlikView server. For example loop,  and reduce can split a single large application into separate apps for each department.
