Hi Community,
I have bee experiencing an error in my QlikView Back-up server license. When ever I enter the license and press activate it says
"Server failed to set license: QVS@mbl-qlikview11: Failed to connect to server"
I have two servers, but one license key. I have cleared the license from the other server. Any possible help or step by step guidance on where am I wrong? Or how do I resolve this error?

Check if your server has internet connection. Otherwise, you might have to try with LEF for license activation.
Internet is activated, I also have tried with the LEF code. It does not work.
When I goto tabs = System - Set-up - QlikView servers it give me an error
Failed to retrieve settings from QlikView Server.
Make sure that the QVS is available with the correct credentials.
There is a login tab. Which credentials is the Console talking about?
If i use my local ID or Administrator ID, it gives an error that
To login using username and password, please enable 'Allow admin using name and password' on the security tab
Where is the security tab located?

The problem is that when ever I click System - Setup and click on QlikView Servers, its gives and error that

Therefore I can not access the point from where the security tab is enabled.

Not sure if I understood you correct?
Are you trying to use the same license key on both servers? If so, it doesn't work.
Something is broken in your configuration. What version of QVS are you running (QEMS doesn't exist anymore in v11)?
I use the same license on different machines, but not at a same time.
I a production machine and a back up machine. Back up machine works when production machine is down (License cleared).
Rite now, my production is down, and I can not activate my back up server with this license.
I'm assuming you run two QMS, with one currently down (production) and one up. Did you start the QVS on your backup machine? Is it running? Do you connect to the correct QMC on the correct platform?
