If you are familiar with Qlikview Triggers and Actions,

let's say you have a button to run your Batch File:

1. Go to Button Properties>> Action

2. Add Action >> Type: External ; Action: Launch

from here you can set your file/application to launch

If you can manage that, you can move your Action to Document Trigger by opening Document Properties (Ctrl+Shift+D). on Triggers Tab you will have 3 types of Event Trigger  (Document Event,Field Event and Variable Event).

Hi John,

you don't need to create a separate QV app to do this, there is an option in QMC for supporting tasks, from here you can schedule a bat file to run and make it part of dependency chain too.

hope that helps

we have On postreload option under the document event triggers....do you think this will do the job.....

Thnx Joe and Rajesh....I thought that this can be done only through Qlikview app...never know this can be done through Supporting tasks....which even reduced the burden of making qlikview..app...

Thanks very much guys...
