Can we install QV Server on WIndows 8 Pro ? It is 64 bit machine. What is the exact version i  need to download

You're right, my fault.

Since you're talking about the QlikView Server, use the Win2012AndUp version.

Note that this applies to 11.xx only. QVS12 has only one installation package: no more difficult choices

Try

QV 11.2 SR 12 64 bit edition, there is no Windows 8 file in the Qlikview downloads section.
