QVS taking RAM even when no user is accessing the application

Hi all,

I am using QV 11 IR .

My Publish Folder has 2 applications which are of 2.5 GB and 3 Gb respectively.

My QVS is taking 20 GB RAM even when no user is logged in which is not the desired behaviour.

Kindly Suggest.

the amount (as a %) of ram available to the service can be controlled in the QEMC ('working set' in system, setup, performance). The 20GB is probably just cache which is a good thing! 😉

Hi Erikajain02.

Other than what kouroshkarimi said, the applications can also be pre-loaded into QVS RAM if checked in QMC > User documents > your app.

If using Publisher this setting can be set in the distribute task.

That means the app is always in server RAM even if no users are connected, for quicker access.

Kind regards

Hi Magnus,

I have already done that preload check.

But what I want is that my RAM sholud be Null when no user is accessing the document.

The Caching contains selection results to speed up user performance for all users.  There is essentially no such thing in QV as Memory = Null

But in Version 10 Memory use to come down when no user was accessing the data.

But now it goes on increasing from 20 to 50 GB of RAM.
