My group currently manages roughly 400+ data connection strings in our QlikView environment. We are currently working on ways to better manage / automate this process. One thought was the we could utilize the QVScrambler.dll. We have registered it with regsvr32, which registered successfully, but we see the attached error when trying to run VB script using the .dll:
I realize the scrambler was initially used for an earlier version of Qlik, but I was hopeful we might be able to use it to automate the scrambling of our data connection string passwords. We have tried other methods (CytpoJS, encoding, etc.), but nothing else we can utilize appears to match Qlik's method of scrambling passwords.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
