Qlik generated keys vs. snowflaking

For 1,000,000 rows there is a column which only has 10 distinct values.

Is there any advantage to using autonumber with a child table over letting qlikview create it's own keys?

Which way is better?  If I use autonumber will qlikview still create it's own set anyway?

What about a group of fields which have small set of combined distinct values?
