Hey everyone! Today we rolled out the new QlikView website design to QlikCommunity, and we're really interested in your feedback (both positive and negative)!
Please not that there are still a couple of little design bugs that we're fixing now, but if you come across any that we haven't fixed, please feel free to use this thread to bring them to our attention.
Thank you again for your continued participation in the QlikCommunity, and we're looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi,
Looks good. But there is a bit to much eye candy that does not serve a purpose. Like the tags, that nothing but pop web, and only serve the purpose of feeding to search engines. I think you should minimize stuff like that or simply removed it.
Also I would like that the google search is made default. The regular search is still returns to much irrelevant results from the same threads.
And please fix qlickview.com/download its annoying that we can't go directly to the download page anymore. We look silly when we can't find the needed software when we are with our clients!
I agree those drop menus don't work very well. And should prefferebly not activate on mouse over. Rather on a onclick event.
I can't edit HTML anymore (the dialog gives 2 script warning messages and then just hangs).

Try searching in Google instead. In google search add "site:qlik.com" to your search term.
Would be nice if this site's search worked as well as google, but I've pretty much given up using the local search - -for this site and others. It's all being indexed in google anyways (no, I don't work for Google 🙂

Thanks, Rob. Yep, that's exactly what I've been doing. But I think QlikView says that the forum search is powered by Google, so it would be nice if it worked the same way.
There are no bread crumbs anywhere. When I'm in a forum I want to see a link to the main community page. When in a thread, I want a link to the main page and the forum, like this:
Community > Forum name > Thread topic
I recall that in the last generation of these forums.
Whew! Thanks for all of the feedback, everyone! I'm going to try to address most issues (so far) in one post.

We will be adding these back in the near future.

The qlik.com site runs on a Google-powered search, but with the massive amounts of content created by the community, we haven't been able to combine the two sites. We acknowledge the forum search is not the best; as a stop-gap measure, we've added a Google Custom Search Engine here: http://community.qlik.com/themes/qcStyle/common/google-site-search.aspx. We'll let you know when we've made some more progress on this.
More coming...
Cool.
Thanks, Jason. One more thing that just started happening a couple hours ago: the Quick Reply box has lost all formatting and it pretty difficult to work with now. Not sure if it's temporary, just wanted to throw that out there.
Thanks,
