QlikView 12.30SR3 - Extra decimal places while exporting data in excel
Description - When trying to do an excel download for a straight table having the 'Number Format Settings' as "Expressions Default" the values are showing up with 14 decimal places in the excel.
We have also tried changing the format to "Fixed to" 5 decimal places and it gave number with only 1 decimal place.
Whilst in 12.10 the decimal places for such straight table setting was 4.
Is there any manual setting where we can change the decimal places to 4 for a straight table?
I have found that when exporting data the desired format doesn't always follow what I set in the chart or table. To fix this use the Setting > Document Properties > Number formatting section. It seems to make sure the values displayed and exported are the same, and works better than the object properties.

It would be very helpful if you can attach an example/sample QVW with the issue, so we can do some testing upon things, very difficult to say otherwise. Another key thing to keep in mind when doing export to Excel, things are being processed by the BIFF translator, which is a Microsoft component, and that can have an impact upon things as well that we cannot control, you may want to try a text export too just to see if that yields a different result, as if so, then BIFF may have something to do with things here.
